The Centre for Transport Studies is a research group embedded in the Civil Engineering Department at the University of Cape Town. At the Centre, we strive to positively impact how people move in cities in Africa. We do this through our research to build and capture knowledge and through our teaching to share and further enrich that knowledge. We also work together with communities, practitioners, public agencies and a wide network of international collaborators to respond directly to urban transport, mobility and accessibility challenges in cities on our continent.
