The ZEV-UP partners gathered in Istanbul on 19 and 20 June 2025 for the project’s fourth General Assembly, hosted by our partner Ford Otosan. Over two days, the meeting brought together representatives from all partners to review technical progress, plan the next steps, and strengthen collaboration.
Discussions throughout the meeting focused on ongoing work regarding the development of the ZEV-UP vehicle, prepare for testing and evaluation, and plan future demonstrations. Partners reviewed the status of the project’s innovation and exchanged on communication, dissemination, and stakeholder engagement activities. The meeting also marked the official launch of the ZEV-UP Steering Board, which will support strategic coordination across the project’s next phases.
One of the key moments of the meeting was the visit to the Ford Otosan facilities. Partners were welcomed for a guided tour of the site and had the opportunity to see a live demonstration of three test vehicles. The showcase offered a first-hand look at the vehicles developed by Ford Otosan and helped bring the ZEV-UP vehicle concept closer to reality.
As ZEV-UP moves towards the completion of its prototype, the Istanbul meeting confirmed the consortium’s shared ambition to deliver an innovative zero-emission Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) tailored for urban needs.
