Extrême Défi held its 3rd Conference on Ultralight Electric Vehicles (EVs) from 10 to 12 December 2024 in Laval, France. Bringing together researchers, manufacturers, public authorities, and key industry stakeholders, the event served as a dynamic platform to share insights and drive advancements in ultralight EV technology.

Representing the ZEV-UP project, Rim Rejeb from our partner VEDECOM participated in a session spotlighting European initiatives shaping the future of EVs. Moderated by Gabriel Plassat (Extrême Défi), the panel featured experts including Eric Cerneaz (CINEA – European Commission), Annick Roetynck (LEVA-EU), Nicolas Le Douarec (AVELI), Alex Rousselet (RFFLabs), and Pius Sonnberger from our sister project GIANTS.

During her presentation, Rim Rejeb highlighted ZEV-UP’s focus on user needs to foster the acceptance of the ZEV-UP vehicles. She also presented the vehicles’ technical features, such as an innovative battery-swapping system, leading to insightful discussions with an interested audience.

The event provided ZEV-UP with a valuable opportunity to connect with French stakeholders, exchange expertise, and explore potential collaborations – all critical steps toward shaping the future of sustainable electric mobility.
