ZEV-UP partners gathered in Modena on 27 and 28 November for the project’s latest General Assembly, hosted by UNIMORE and ICOOR. The two-day meeting provided an important opportunity to review recent progress, coordinate upcoming activities, and discuss the next steps as the project will start the manufacturing process of its three ultra-compact and zero-emission vehicle variants.

During the first day, partners presented updates on all key technical areas, including vehicle and component design (WP2), the vehicle prototype building (WP3), the planning for the real-world demonstrations of the vehicles (WP4), as well as coordination and innovation management (WP7). The next day featured presentations on evaluation and market uptake (WP5) and discussions around the upcoming communication, dissemination and stakeholder engagement activities planned for 2026 (WP6).

Participants also had the chance to learn more about the city of Modena, discovering the city’s innovative achievements and Italy’s expertise in engineering and design.

With prototype building starting in the next year, the General Assembly marked an important step in refining the project’s roadmap and ensuring strong cooperation and alignment across all work packages to deliver the ZEV-UP ultra-compact vehicles.
